Born in Toronto, Canada to Jamaican immigrants, Michelle is an emerging artist on a passion quest to reconnect with her roots through dance.

In 2002, Michelle attended her first COBA performance. She heard the drums, saw for the first time black bodies dancing black stories on stage and was inspired to learn this powerful physical language. That same year, she began formal training in dance as an apprentice at COBA.

Michelle has performed with Aya Dance Collective, ijo vudu Dance International and the True Daley Collective. This is Michelle’s fourth season performing with COBA.
